1. FCC - Senior Cricket - 2026 Season

Finchley Cricket Club, 2026

Who are we and why should you join us?

If you are looking for a Club - stop now – you have found the right place.

Finchley Cricket Club has been running a men’s teams since 1832 and were founder members of the Middlesex County Cricket league in 1972.

We are based in North London and an easy 5 minutes’ walk from Finchley Central Station. Finchley Cricket Club is home to four men’s league sides on Saturdays, an MDL side on Sundays, in addition to a cup team.

We are record four-time winners of the London-wide Knockout Cup Completion - The Evening Standard Trophy. We won its replacement - The Club Cricket Conference Cup - at the first attempt in 2009, and were runners-up in 2010, confirming the Club’s position at the pinnacle of club cricket in the capital.

Over the years we have seen many junior players come through the Club and represent our senior sides. We wear those long-time friendships as a “badge of honour”, but we also pride ourselves on being a particularly welcoming, collegiate and friendly Club – ‘home from home’ - for those looking for a new place to play their cricket. Perhaps having moved to London recently; taken up the game again after a long hiatus or even just keen for a fresh start - we would love to welcome you.

We are always happy to meet new players at all levels – from first-team standard through to the 4th XI – and have indoor training sessions from the start of January through to end of March. At which point we head outside for the final month of pre-season at our home which is one of the best grounds (if the not the best) in the Middlesex League.

Teams for 2026 in Middlesex Premier League

  • 1st XI - First Teams - Premier Division
  • 2nd XI - Second Teams - Division Two
  • 3rd XI - Third Tier - Division One
  • 4th XI - Third Tier - Division Four B

Promotion is the aim and fulfilling to achieve, but none of it matters if you don't wake up on Saturday excited to spend the day with your mates enjoying the game. So, that's our thing - that's what we endeavour to do every week.

We socialise together during the week, eat together after games and host regular club events throughout the season.

So, if you want it to be a part of Finchley Cricket Club “family” we are waiting for you.
