Welcome to the 2023 Junior Cricket season at Finchley!

And we are really looking forward to seeing you all after a busy winter.
We get going on the evening of Friday 7th April

A very warm welcome to our new head coach Adam Scher who joins us this
year. Adam Is a level three coach who has been played A grade cricket in
South Africa and has a wealth of cricket coaching experience.

Our emphasis at Finchley is on inclusion and fun and we offer every level of
Junior cricket for boys and girls of all ages and abilities, from six-year-olds to
seventeen-year-olds, with a pathway into adult cricket. Throughout this age
spectrum, we range from beginners to junior cricketers participating in county
and London Schools squads

Please do come and join us – not just for the cricket but for our special family
atmosphere. We love our junior cricketers to see the club as something of a
second home, and we look forward to a season of cricket fun, development
and friendship.

arrangements; our age group squads, and age group fixtures; our one-to-one
coaching offering; our registration/payment arrangements; and our 2023
cricket camp plans. Great if you would like to sign up as soon as possible!

Training, Practice and Family nights

From Friday 7 April, our training and practice sessions will be:

  • 430pm to 530pm every Friday for six-year-olds to eight -year-olds

  • 600pm to 800pm every Friday for nine-year-olds to seventeen-year-olds

  • 600pm to 800pm every Monday.
  • Squad Age Group practice nights starts

  • 17 th April Development co-ordinated by age group squad managers.
  • Our excellent coaching group are really looking forward to seeing you all.

    Friday evenings will be family evenings, supported by good catering and our
    bar offering – please do come along! And the bar will of course be open on
    Monday evenings too.

    Age Group Squads, Age Group Fixtures

    This season, the club is putting out 12 age group teams in Middlesex league
    and cup competitions. We have many fixtures to play. Details of these age
    group squads to follow.

    One-to-one coaching
    Our coaching resource is co-ordinated this year by Adam Scher. Please do not
    hesitate to get in touch with him if you would like to organise additional one to
    one coaching. He will arrange additional sessions with the following club-
    based coaches:

    We are now taking membership registrations for the 2023 season. Please visit
    the shop in the Pitchero app or on the club website to be directed to our sign-
    up page. It would help us a great deal if you were able to do this by no later
    than Friday 7th April. Thank you!

    You will find the following invitation for 2023 season subscriptions to help us
    cover all associated costs of coaching, training and match material, match
    balls and ground hire and preparation:

    Junior subscription (Nine-year-olds to seventeen- year-old boys and girls, training Mondays and Fridays, 600pm to 800pm, and eligibility for age group match play)£150.00

    Match shirts were provided last season. We will have some additional
    supplies available in case of need at a price of £20.00 each.
    Please do not hesitate to talk with us if you would like to explore the possibility
    of a bursary.

    2023 Cricket Camp plans
    Please look out for our plans for our summer vacation camps. More detail in a
    few weeks’ time – especially for the cricket camps to be run again by Adam
    Scher
